Cage requirements:
The manufacture and design of cages must comply with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Live Animal Transport Code.
Generally speaking, cages must be of moderate size, ventilated, sturdy, solid, and paved with leak-proof layers. They must also meet the following requirements:
🟡Cages must be made of fiberglass, metal, hard glue or welded metal plates, but cages made of wooden materials are not accepted.
🟡Since the foldable cage is not a sturdy design, it will not be accepted.
🟡Cages made entirely of welded mesh or wire mesh will not be accepted.
🟡The cage must be clean and leak-proof.
🟡If the cage has wheels, it must be removed before check-in
🟡The size of the cage must be sufficient and allow the pet to stand, turn around and lie down naturally in the cage.
🟡The cage must be ventilated, and the main ventilation position is located above the cage.
🟡For dog cages, the maximum size opening in the welded mesh is 25mm x 25mm (1" All openings in welded mesh must prevent exposure of the animal's nose and paws.
🟡Drinking water containers must be placed inside the cage, and make sure drinking water can be replenished directly from outside the cage.
🟡The top of the drinking fountain must be open to allow the animal unrestricted access to water, and must be securely fastened inside the cage.
🟡Water bottles and similar drinking fountains installed inside or outside the cage are not considered open drinking containers.
🟡Separate food and drinking water containers should be provided to facilitate replenishment of feed and water when the flight is delayed.
🟡Instructions for feeding food and water must be written in writing and tied to the outside of the cage.
